2019 Nissan Leaf

 The 2019 Nissan Leaf is part of the 2nd generation of Leaf, which was introduced for 2018. The compact electric hatchback is comfortable, stylish and provides a clean ride without carrying a luxurious price tag. The new model provides a quiet driving experience while at the same time offering smooth and quick acceleration. The 2019 Leaf comes available in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SL. All version deliver close to 150 miles of range, with its 40kWh battery pack on a full charge.

The 2019 Leaf sports a sleek and elegant design, looking closer to a crossover SUV or a conventional hatchback. The large hatch which covers the plug is integrated into the hood, and the plug sits at a 45-degree angle, which makes easy to insert the charging cord. The front of the car features the V-motion chrome bar, which is a signature of Nissan’s, but the grille is replaced with a black panel with blue highlights.

Trims, Features & Optional Packages

  • The S level is equipped with a 110-kW electric motor, able to produce 147 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. The model is equipped with 16-inch steel wheels, LED taillights, automatic headlights, keyless entry and start, and automatic climate control. On the tech side of things, the S trim level features a 5-inch central display, a USB port, Bluetooth, and a 4-speaker sound system paired with a CD player as well as satellite radio.

OPTIONAL: There is an optional Charge package available which includes a DC fast-charger port and a portable charge cable, able to connect to 120 volt and 240-volt sources. If you need a quick charge this can be a quick option, as the depleted battery will go from 0 percent to 80 in approximately 40 minutes.

  • Moving up, the SV trim level adds to the mix the Charger package, fog lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The tech side of things also gets an upgrade, the Leaf SV featuring a 7-inch touchscreen interface, a 6-speaker audio system paired with HD radio, NissanConnect (which is Nissan’s remote access and web connectivity system), as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration.

OPTIONAL: The Technology Package is available for the SV, which will add a power-adjustable driver’s seat, LED headlights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, as well as additional safety features
